Specialty Classes
Commit to be Fit
Now is a great time to get started on the YMCA 'Commit to be Fit" Program, which is free for YMCA members. A qualified, professional, friendly wellness coach will set up a schedule of meetings with you to establish a workout porgram based on your goals. The program is a progression in which you will learn how to use the machines and equipment safely and properly while overcoming obstacles and barriers that may be hindering an established workout routine. Stop by the Welcome Center and sign-up today!

Specialty Classes
Performance Training
Join Personal Trainer Kip Biese as he helps you focus on sport specific strength & conditioning activities for a variety of athletics. This class is designed to help practiced individuals and weekend warriors increase their fitness and performance by enhancing their existing training routines. You will challenge your body and core by doing explosive full-body movements to maximize your workout. Come prepared with your specific goals and he will give you workouts to achieve them!
*specialty classes differ in that they offer smaller group sizes, specific workouts, specialized equipment and personalized routines & attention.

Women on Weights
LEVEL 1
Scared of the gym? Don't like working out with body builders next to you? Heard all the myths about women's fitness but know they aren't true? Whether you are a beginner or intermediate exerciser, join Personal Trainer Tracy Talkington as she introduces you to the Fitness Center and teaches you the fundamentals of exercise. You will learn numerous total body & core exercises primarily using machines, free weights and body bars while leaning to design a variety of workouts for yourself. After taking this class you will: feel confident in the fitness center, leave with two personalized workouts and will have the know-how needed to achieve your fitness goals!
Member-Fee: $50 (8 classes)
Non-Member Fee: $65 (8 classes)
Minimum of 4, maximum of 8 participants
Days & Times: Tuesdays & Thursdays 1pm-2pm
LEVEL 2
Designed for more experienced exercisers, this class will have an added challenge and will expose you to more complex equipment such as cable machines, kettlebells, medicine balls, exercise balls, Bosu balls, elastic bands and much more. These small group training sessions will allow you to achieve your goals under the individualized guidance of Personal Trainer Tracy Talkington. You will leave with more workout options to challenge your fitness goals.

Non-Member Fee: $90 (8 classes)

Ski Conditioning
The ski/boarding season is in full swing...are you ready?!? Take this class with our Personal Trainers Kip Biese or Erik Henriksen to get ready for the slopes on those powder days where the snow is knee deep and the runs seem to never end. Get the leg, core and overall strength needed to help you reach more vertical and conquer the mountains. Whatever your skiing (or boarding) ability, this class is for you!

Core Blast
This free 15-minute class will challenge you and your core in ways you never thought possible. A variety of our Personal Trainers will run you through workouts that will target the core (abdominals & back) to improve your functional strength. Drop in when it fits your schedule and find a new way to perform the traditional "sit-ups".
