YMCA Lifeguard Full Certification Course

The widely accepted YMCA lifeguard course is leading the way in lifeguarding. The course is an intense, experiential, multimedia training. Successful guard candidates will have the skills and knowledge to perform rescues and to prevent aquatics accidents. Course includes lifeguard, CPR/PR-AED, First Aid and Oxygen administration certifications. Space is limited. Register in person or on-line. A prerequisite swim is required. Successful applicants need to be able to tread water without hands, swim front crawl, breaststroke, elementary backstroke kick and sidestroke.

Dates: Tuesday May 29-Saturday June 2
Time: 9:00am-6:00pm
Location: Downtown
Cost: $200.00 Members, $225.00 Non-Members

Required pre-swim May 18, 6:00pm-7:00pm
Bring lunch or lunch money, swim suit, towel and water bottle.
Candidates must be 16 years old by last day or class. Proof of age required.

Remember summers when you were a kid? Remember the amazing feeling of making a new friend, staying up late laughing, being outside in the summer sun with popsicles and smiles? Help us provide those same life changing experiences for our local youth here in the Pikes Peak Region as we work to provide 100 kids an opportunity to go to Y summer camp!

Funds from the Kids to Camp Golf Tournament will be used to provide low-income, underserved children in our community an opportunity to attend YMCA Camp Shady Brook and Summer Youth programs at the Downtown YMCA.

Summer Day Camp 2012

What are your kids doing this summer?
